Psychological support meets you where you are..
A little bit about me..
Hi, I'm Michelle.
I'm a Psychologist and EMDR therapist, and I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be understood without judgement.
My approach is warm, practical and collaborative. I don't believe therapy needs to feel heavy every session, and I want the work we do together to fit into your actual life, not become another thing you have to struggle to keep up with.
Areas I can help with
Anxiety, panic and stress
Trauma and complex trauma
Depression and low mood
Addiction and recovery
Personality difficulties
Dissociation and dissociative disorders
Major life changes and relationship difficulties
Therapy should work for your life
I don't believe therapy should become another source of pressure.
If you're a busy parent, working long hours, studying, or simply trying to keep everything together, we'll look at strategies that are realistic for your circumstances.
Therapy can be serious when it needs to be — but it can also involve humour, warmth and moments of lightness. Most importantly, I want you to feel safe, understood and involved in the process.
I want therapy to feel purposeful. We'll work together to understand what is keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies and regularly reflect on whether therapy is helping you move towards the life you want.
So who am I and why chose me?
I have worked as a Psychologist for eight years, including four years working in rehabilitative prisons in Australia before moving into private clinical practice.
I completed my psychology qualifications through BPS-accredited courses before becoming registered to practice in Australia with AHPRA. I subsequently completed EMDR training and advanced EMDR training in Structural Dissociation in 2022.
I am also a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), M.Ps.S.I

After 11 years living and working in Australia, I recently returned to Ireland with my young family and decided to establish Havenwood Psychology here.
My years working across different settings in Australia, including four years in rehabilitative prisons and later in private practice, have given me experience supporting people through some of life's most difficult periods.
I'm now delighted to bring that experience home and continue supporting people here in Ireland.
What you can expect
A safe, non-judgemental space
You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.
A collaborative approach
We'll work together to understand what's happening and decide what feels useful for you.
Practical strategies
Where appropriate, we'll develop tools that you can actually use outside of sessions.
Therapy tailored to you
There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Your experiences, goals and circumstances will shape the work.
Warmth and humour
Therapy can involve difficult conversations, but it doesn't have to feel cold or clinical.
You don't need to know exactly what you need from therapy before getting in touch. If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, I'd be happy to hear from you.
